Mick McKenzie, the owner and President, comes from a long line of successful home builders. His grandfather, Walter McKenzie, was a home builder in Pinellas County and his father, T.K. McKenzie, built homes in Pinellas and Manatee Counties for over 40 years. T.K. was a pioneer in the building industry. He instilled the values of quality workmanship and integrity in his team, his homes and everything he pursued.
Valerie and her father Mick “updating” new home designs in the 2020’s
Mick’s daughter Valerie was also raised in the building industry and she strives for the same ideals as her father and grandfathers. Valerie, along with Jerry Robinson, also the son of a new home builder, have taken over American Housing Builders and they look forward to bringing AHB into a new era of home designs and energy-efficiency. Together, Jerry and Valerie will continue to maintain the same values of high-quality workmanship and integrity in all of their new home projects. They strictly adhere to Florida’s stringent building code, follow that latest trends and together they have over sixty years combined experience in the home building industry.
